Saiyan is the first four-digit rate in the game. Magi is the first five-digit. There's a one-tier bridge (Sin, rank 8) between them, but the strategic question is the same as the gap implies: do you camp Saiyan to bank yen first, or push to Magi as fast as possible? Most players overthink this. The numbers say push.

Pick Saiyan when…

Stay at Saiyan if you just unlocked it in the last 24 hours and you haven't met the 100K stat threshold yet. Use Saiyan time to finish the 10K Strength Gym grind and bank enough yen for the Sin upgrade. Don't sit here for more than two play sessions.

Pick Magi when…

Push to Magi the moment you can afford it. The 10x rate jump immediately recoups the upgrade cost, usually within a single AFK overnight session. There is no scenario where staying at Saiyan past the affordability threshold is better than upgrading.

Our take

Magi, always. The Saiyan-to-Magi gap is the most important rate jump in the early-to-mid game. If you're hesitating, you're losing yen every minute. The only reason to delay is if you literally cannot afford the Sin upgrade yet, and Sin pays for itself in a single AFK session.

FAQ

Should I skip Sin between Saiyan and Magi?

You can't, class ranks unlock sequentially. But Sin is so short that it functions as a brief pit stop. Don't try to optimize anything at Sin; just buy the next upgrade.

How long does it take to reach Magi from Saiyan?

A focused player needs 2-4 days. Overnight AFK plus daytime active play, push the 10K stat thresholds in parallel.

Why is Magi called a milestone tier?

It's the first five-digit yen rate and represents a 10x jump from the previous tier line. The pacing of the game changes meaningfully at Magi.
