Hokage is the first late-game tier, the class where AFK income stops being a planning constraint. Kaioshin more than quintuples it — the 3.75 rebalance buffed the rate from 15M to 25M — and Sage (the next tier) is one of the largest single rate jumps in the whole game.

Pick Hokage when…
Hokage is the right place to camp if you've still got 1B-tier stat areas to unlock. The 1B zones (Excalibur for Strength, Planet for Durability, Sage Platform for Chakra) demand serious stat investment and the yen rate at Hokage is fast enough that the grind doesn't slow your progression. Don't push to Kaioshin until you've cleared at least one 1B stat threshold.
Pick Kaioshin when…
Move to Kaioshin once your 1B stat progression is going. The 5.6x rate accelerates the remaining stat grinds and crucially puts you within a single 8-hour AFK session of Sage's 12B fee. Kaioshin is short, most players cleared it in under 2 days.
